SAINT AUGUSTIN, Germany—Frimo Inc. and Hennecke Inc. have formed a partnership to supply the global automotive industry with polyurethane machinery.
The agreement establishes Frimo as the single point of contact for the two companies, and also makes Frimo responsible for sales in the market. The companies said the agreement specifically covers molded foam processing; elastomer processing; lightweight composites; and PUR-CSM technology for polyurethane spray applications.
Flood injection for structural and decorative components also is included.
"Under the partnership, we are uniting the core competences of two companies who complement each other perfectly in terms of strategy and operation," Frimo CEO Christof Boensch, said in a statement.
Frimo is contributing its mechanical systems used in molded foam, elastomers and composites. Hennecke will focus on the wet side of processes. It will supply mix heads and metering systems for high- and low-pressure machinery. Hennecke will also supply tanks, machinery for transporting polyurethane and processing.
"In the future, we want to be even more striking and innovative, offering our customers efficient and competitive solutions under the label 'Automotive Alliance,'" Hennecke CEO Thomas Wildt said. "Our target course clearly is focused on the growth of both companies, and this means new perspectives for our customers as well as for our staff."
The deal, is restricted to technology used in passenger cars. Other powered transport areas such as motor bikes, commercial and agricultural are outside the agreement. This is because they often need complex technical production processes to be successful.
