BETHESDA, Md.—The auto care industry will reach $405 billion in sales by 2020, according to the Auto Care Factbook 2020.
The Auto Care Association announced release of the 29th edition of the online publication June 25, along with the expanded version, the Auto Care Factbook Plus Long Annual 2020.
"The annual research report serves as the industry's flagship publication and an essential informational resource," the ACA said.
The Auto Care Factbook boasts four additional areas of research this year, the ACA said, including the following:
IMR data on delayed maintenance;
NPD Group data on automotive chemicals and fluids;
A global automotive aftermarket estimate provided by Hanover Research; and
An aftermarket distribution summary.
This year's Auto Care Factbook will also provide:
Updated key economic indicators 2015-2019 by Northwood University;
The latest trends on supply, demand and corporate average growth rates for technician employment;
IHS Markit's extended industry forecast through 2022; and
An updated Hybrid Vehicles Summary and Vehicle Operating Costs.
All ACA members receive a free copy of the Auto Care Factbook as a member benefit, while non-members pay $1,950 per copy, the ACA said.
The Auto Care Factbook Plus Long Annual is $995 for ACA members, $2,995 for non-members, it said.
