BEND, Ore.—Nokian Tyres P.L.C. will be the presenting sponsor of the inaugural RendezVan, a five-day camping and van-life-inspired festival that will be held at Mount Bachelor, a resort in Bend, from April 17-21.
RendezVan includes skiing and riding, music, apres-ski activities and other activities at one of the largest ski mountains in North America. The event celebrates a tradition at Mt. Bachelor—skiers camping out each spring so they can get an early start on the slopes.
Nokian will offer give-away items and have opportunities to engage with attendees at the event, which celebrates spring at the resort. The company will have a fat tire bike roaming the village, a solar-powered phone-charging station and a booth with information about the company's mission for crafting sustainable products.
"RendezVan is a fun new way to commemorate the arrival of spring, and we're excited to participate," Nokian North America Director of Marketing Hans Dyhrman said.
RendezVan will feature a festival village with live music and entertainment, local food trucks, giveaways, contests and family-friendly activities. Admission to the event village is free, and parking spots are for sale at RendezVan.com. The website lists a full schedule of events and activities.
Mount Bachelor is one of nine ski resorts owned/managed by POWDR Adventure Co., a Utah company with which Nokian has been affiliated since early 2017.
