WEST CHESTER, Ohio—Evenflo Feeding Inc., an infant and juvenile feeding products brand, and GoSili Inc., a manufacturer of sustainable silicone tablewear, have entered into an equity agreement.
The partnership merges key capabilities and positions them both for significant growth, according to a Evenflo news release.
The two companies will operate in tandem to leverage their strengths, according to Evenflo. GoSili, headquartered in Traverse City, Mich., will continue to lead research and development and drive new business development for their respective products. Evenflo, headquartered near Cincinnati, Ohio, will bring expertise in sales, marketing and operations, as well as capital investment, to the brand.
"This strategic partnership gives us both the ability to deliver bigger innovation to the families we serve, exciting initiatives for our customers, and increased value to our shareholders and employees," Elaine Bobbey, president and managing director of Evenflo Feeding said in a statement. "We are thrilled to progress alongside GoSili and significantly scale their vision for sustainability."
Co-Founders Stacey Feeley and Giuliana Schwab started GoSili in 2006 to develop products for children and adults that were alternatives to plastic products on the market. Among the first products that GoSili introduced were silicone sleeves for Evenflo glass baby bottles. It since has developed products for its Silikids line that has garnered attention both inside and outside the rubber industry.
"GoSili has come full circle from 2006 when we made silicone sleeves for Evenflo glass baby bottles to now bringing the entire GoSili line under one roof," Feeley said in a statement. "It is an exciting opportunity for us to join forces and continue to build our brand alongside an iconic brand like Evenflo."
