    RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif.—Giti Tire (USA) Ltd. is adding the GT Radial Maxtour LX, an all-season grand touring tire for car and CUV owners, to its portfolio of products for North America.

    The new product launches in 42 sizes in 15- to 20-inch rim diameters, covering the top 20 passenger and crossover vehicles sold in the U.S. It is backed by a 70,000-mile limited treadwear warranty, 24-hour roadside assistance and road-hazard warranty, Giti said.

    The majority of the sizes are produced at Giti Tire Group's plant in Chester County, S.C., the company said.

    The Maxtour LX has a harmonically optimized pitch sequence to help reduce road noise and a high-modulus body ply that absorbs road impacts for premium ride comfort, characteristics today's car and CUV owners desire, Giti said.

    Among the Maxtour LX's features are:

    • An asymmetric tread pattern tuned for optimal all-season performance;
    • Full depth sipes for grip;
    • Stiff outer tread blocks for precise steering response and an independent shoulder groove for improved handling; and
    • Additional shoulder channels to aid in water evacuation.

    Giti Tire North America CEO Tim Fulton called the tire a "world-class" touring tire and said both dealers and consumers will appreciate the "industry-leading" warranty.

    Target vehicles include: Honda Accord and CRV; Toyota Camry; Nissan Rogue; Ford Escape; and Chevrolet Traverse.

    Giti did not disclose pricing information at this time.
