COPLEY, Ohio—Preferred Compounding Corp. is rebranding the mold and cleaning products sold under the tradename Glo-Mold to GloMoldPlus.
The custom compounder said in a Feb. 20 news release that the move was designed to "highlight recent product improvements and its positioning under the Preferred umbrella." Preferred acquired the assets as part of its deal for Valley Rubber Mixing, which closed on Jan. 14.
"GloMoldPlus represents a unique opportunity for Preferred to bring an additional value to its
rubber molding and extruding customers," Ken Bloom, Preferred CEO and president, said in a statement. "Fabrication operations which embrace a mold management disciple with GloMoldPlus at its center should see significant reductions in scrap and downtime."
Preferred said GloMoldPlus has four times the shelf life of prior products, has dramatically reduced odor compared with prior products, and is now backed by the quality, service and reliability of Preferred.
"The new branding of GloMoldPlus, the change of emphasis from 'mold cleaning' to comprehensive 'mold management,' and access to the sales and technical network of Preferred bring an exciting new future for the GloMoldPlus family of compounds," GloMoldPlus Account Manager Eric Conroy said in a statement.
Preferred Compounding supplies proprietary and custom mixed rubber compounds to customers including molders, extruders, mixers and others in the rubber goods market. It is owned by Audax Private Equity.
