SCHAUMBERG, Ill.—As the speaker lineup for the inaugural Healthcare Elastomers Conference takes shape, organizers are seeking paper submissions that could help to expand the agenda and diversify the presentations.
The conference, presented by Rubber & Plastics News in conjunction with PolyOne Corp. and R.D. Abbott Co. Inc., will highlight new technologies, trends and ideas in elastomer design and function to engineers within the medical community. Materials of focus include:
- Silicones (VMQ)
- Polyisoprenes (IR)
- Isobutylene isoprenes (IIR)
- Thermoplastic elastomers (TPE)
- Thermoplastic urethanes (TPU)
- Thermoplastic vulcanizates (TPV)
- Thermoplastic olefins (TPO)
Submissions for presentations will be accepted through March 4.
Among those set to speak is Kyle Anderson, an associate research scientist at Dow Chemical Co., who will discuss "Olefin Block Copolymers Elastic Performance in Health and Hygiene." Long Zhang, a senior chemist from Teknor Apex Co. will present "DIY: Go Vertical with Medalist TPE Pump Tube Resins."
