MILAN—Pirelli & C. S.p.A. has achieved an A rating from CDP for its corporate climate policies.
In a recent news release, the Italian tire maker said it maintains a "constant commitment to sustainability" and the recognition is proof that it taking the correct steps.
CDP, formerly the carbon disclosure project, is an international non-profit organization that works to bring awareness to environmental issues, while encourage corporate and goverment entities to cuts to cut greenhouse gas emissions, safeguard water resources and protect forests. Its ratings are designed to reward those that take critical steps toward achieving this goal.
In addition to earning the CDP honor, Pirelli was named among the 2018 top sustainability leaders in the auto components sector by Dow Jones.
