STOW, Ohio—Mickey Thompson Tires & Wheels has renewed its sponsorship agreements with three key drag racing series for 2019, covering both four- and two-wheel competition.

Mickey Thompson Tires, a unit of Cooper Tire & Rubber Co., again will be a "major event sponsor" of the National Hot Rod Association's Mello Yello Drag Racing Series in 2019. The deal includes being a contingency sponsor for all NHRA Sportsman racing classes, Pro Mod and Pro Stock Motorcycle as well as Divisional Level Associate Contingency Sponsor of the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series in all Sportsman classes.

The company also is the title sponsor of the Mickey Thompson Tires Top Fuel Harley Drag Racing Series as well as title sponsor of "Lights Out 10," which is described as the "Baddest Small Tire Races in the World."

"Drag racing is an important part of what we do, and who we are," Ken Warner, vice president of marketing, said.

"We offer a complete line of competition tires for racers on two and four wheels and our products set new standards and break traditions in innovation."

This year, the company will add a second on-site trailer—in addition to the trackside support trailer for competitors—at select 2019 NHRA events that will promote Mickey Thompson products to fans. The trailer will service as an "interactive garage" kiosk, complete with a 42-inch touch screen that allows users to digitally customize 4x4 vehicles with Mickey Thompson tires, wheels and many other aftermarket options in order to build and visualize their ideal light truck or SUV.

The company also will continue to support NHRA racers through its Team M/T program.

The NHRA season begins Feb. 7-10 at the Lucas Oil NHRA Winternationals in Pomona, Calif., which is also the site of the season-ending Auto Club NHRA Finals Nov. 14-17.

To see the full schedule of 2019 NHRA events, go to nhra.com.

The Mickey Thompson Tires Top Fuel Harley Drag Racing Series—featuring bikes capable of exceeding 220 mph in the quarter mile—will be featured at 10 events during the 2019 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series calendar.

2019 marks the third year Mickey Thompson has been the series' title sponsor.

The Lights Out 10 is a one-weekend competition at South Georgia Motorsports Park in Adel, Ga., for "small tire radial" racing. The 2019 event will run Feb. 14-17, with an estimated 400 competitors in 10 racing classes expected.

Mickey Thompson provides the event with ET Street Radial Pro line, sizes P275/60R15 or P315/60R15, as the spec tire. Mickey Thompson has supported the annual event since 2009.

Purses reach as high as $10,000 per class, as well as an exclusive "Radial vs. The World" class that offers a $50,000 prize to the winner.
