NASHUA, N.H.—Pfeiffer Vacuum recently introduced the Pascal 2021 HW, a two-stage rotary vane pump designed for applications where water vapor is expected. Pfeiffer, which claims that the new pump has the highest vapor capacity in its class, said the design allowed the product to pump large volumes of vapor without condensation forming inside the pump. This allows for a longer service life and the preservation of pump oil.
The Pascal 2021 is resistant to aggressive chemicals such as hydrogen peroxide, and its compact design allows for easier installation in OEM or customized equipment.
Among the new pump's features is its customized temperature management system, which prepares the pump to deliver vapor in a few minutes. A safety device prevents water from entering the functional section of the pump, if the steam capacity is inadvertently exceeded. Other features include oil mist filter, inlet traps, and an oil drain valve that supports easier maintenance, especially in confined spaces.
Founded in 1890 Pfiffer Vacuum offers a range of vacuum products for the analytics, industry, research and development, coatings and semiconductor markets. Additional information is available at pfeiffer-vacuum.com.
