CARY , N.C.—Lord Corp. said it will raise the prices for its Chemlok- and Chemosil-brand rubber-to-substrate adhesives along with the firm's line of specialty materials by 5-10 percent effective immediately or as contracts allow.
Cary-based Lord said the need for the price hikes are significant increases in raw materials, feedstocks, logistics and transportation costs, coupled with rising energy, labor and tariff-related costs.
Lord said in a statement that it actively works to control expenses and absorb cost fluctuations, but that these factors have adversely impacted its supply chain costs globally.
The firm said it remains committed to innovating within the industry, recently launching four new Chemlok rubber-to-substrate adhesives that are geared toward meeting industry needs for robust systems with strong environmental performance that offer application versatility.
Lord said customers should contact their local account representative or distributor for more details on new prices and customized product needs.
Lord employs about 3,000 in 26 countries and operates 19 manufacturing facilities and 10 research and development centers.
