PITTSBURGH—Lanxess Corp. named Palmer Holland as its exclusive distributor for Bayferrox- and Colortherm-brand inorganic pigments for the Western U.S.
Effective Jan. 1, Palmer added the territory to its current responsibilities for those products in the Northeast and Midwest regions, according to a Lanxess news release.
The organizations are an excellent fit, with Lanxess' leadership in the iron oxide space seen as a competitive advantage for customers, said Ron Zmich, Palmer Holland business director.
Lanxess' inorganic pigments business unit is a manufacturer of iron oxides and inorganic pigments based on chrome oxides. They have been used in coloring paints and coatings, plastics and paper, as well as specialty pigments for toners, the company said.
Palmer, headquartered in Cleveland, is a national specialty chemical and ingredient distributor of raw materials. It has more than 40 account managers and ingredient consultants stationed across the U.S.
Lanxess has about 19,200 employees in 25 countries, and is currently represented at 73 production sites worldwide.
