ATLANTA—EcoVadis awarded Birla Carbon a gold level rating for its sustainable practices for the third consecutive year.
Birla was in the top 2 percent of companies assessed from its industry sector, with a score of 71 percent, according to a company news release.
The rating comes after Birla's sixth sustainability report, "Share the Strength: Working Together for a Sustainable Future."
EcoVadis, a collaborative platform that provides supplier sustainability ratings for global supply chains, scored more than 5,000 companies across 150 countries. Birla's ranking places under the "manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products" industry.
