PAWCATUCK, Conn.—Davis-Standard L.L.C.'s Pawcatuck facility received ISO 9001:2015 certification.
The certification is the beginning of a process to improve performance in all areas of the business, Mike Newhall, vice president of operations, said in a news release.
ISO promotes a holistic approach to evaluating an operation, and the process has driven corrective action where needed and made aspects of the business better, Newhall said. It encompasses everything from on-boarding employees and reviewing customer specifications to engineering and manufacturing practices.
Davis-Standard, which is headquartered in Pawcatuck, designs, develops and distributes extrusion and converting technology. Its products are used in the automotive, health care and food and beverage packaging industries, among others. The company has more than 1,300 employees worldwide.
