KICHARDT, Germany—Automotive sealing specialist Kaco GmbH is consolidating its operations in Germany by combining production sites at its Kirchardt headquarters.
The relocation process started in 2017 and involves merging three German production sites—Heilbronn, Talheim and Kirchardt—into the newly expanded manufacturing facilities and offices in Kirchardt by early 2019.
Kaco's Heilbronn manufacturing equipment were successfully moved to Kirchardt by mid-2018, and the Talheim plant also is "almost fully transferred" to the new location, the company said in a statement.
The move aims to integrate the production and headquarters of Kaco, which is majority-owned by China's Zhongding Sealing Parts Co. Ltd.
"We are very pleased that the move has gone so smoothly. Now our employees can enjoy the benefits of a modern workplace," said managing directors Markus Schwerdtfeger and Richard Ongherth.
Kaco develops and manufactures high precision, practical sealing systems for the automotive and mechanical engineering sectors.
The company, with its headquarters in Germany, has eight production facilities in Germany, Austria, Hungary, China and the U.S..
