COLOGNE, Germany—Lanxess A.G. has appointed Thomas Duletzki as the head of the firm's mergers and acquisitions group function.
Duletzki will succeed Marcel Beermaan, who joined Lanxess' High Performance Materials business unit on Nov. 1 after leading the M&A group function for more than 10 years.
Lanxess said Duletzki has worked within the M&A group function since 2014 and has successfully managed numerous growth projects. Prior to this, the economist had gained extensive experience in portfolio management at Evonik and in investment banking at Goldman Sachs.
He will report directly to Chief Financial Officer Michael Pontzen, who said the M&A group function plays a "central role" in Lanxess' growth strategy.
