COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—More than 700 participants from the power transmission/motion control industry came together Oct. 17-20 at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs,Colo.
Participants at the Power Transmission Distributors Association Industry Summit 2018 to build and renew connections and implement new ideas in their businesses, according to a PTDA news release.
Speakers discussed creating opportunities and the future of the Internet of Things, and The Beaulieu Report provided an economic update including industrial production highlights and developments in end-user industries.
More than 650 one-on-one meetings took place at MD-IDEX for distributors and manufacturers.
The Warren Pike Award was presented to Ken Miko, director category management and strategic accounts of BDI in Cleveland. The Wendy B. McDonald Award was presented to Ellen Holladay, senior vice president, chief information officer and operational excellence officer at Motion Industries Inc. in Birmingham, Ala.
PTDA member companies pledged $66,825 in contributions to the PTDA Foundation, supporting the PT Work Force initiative, which helps in hiring the next generation of talent.
The PTDA 2019 Industry Summit will be held Oct. 23-26 at the JW Marriott Austin in Austin, Texas. Registration will open in June.
