RAVENNA, Ohio—Ace Products and Consulting, an independent testing and research and development laboratory, released its 2018 kickoff schedule of classes to be held at the iLearn Innovation Institute.
December classes include "Trade Wars and U.S. Tariffs," "The Global Silicone Market Analysis" and "A Lunch and Learn—Prop 65 Compliance," according to an Ace news release.
The first two courses will take place Dec. 12, with the third Dec. 13.
Class registration is open with online registration available on the Ace website.
The Institute is an Ace initiative meant to further education and development of technical employees, technical students, industry professionals and companies expanding training capabilities.
In "Trade Wars," the morning session, topics include an understanding of world tariffs, current tariff and retaliation, the tariff on China, the tariff on partner countries, tariff exclusion, sanction on Iran and other compliance issues. The afternoon session, "Global Silicone Market," covers basic processing of silicone monomer to explain key factors that affect monomer supply. Class attendees also will review the events that sparked the 2017 silicone market volatility, the current state of the market and future projections. The course also covers global producers of silicone monomer, their capacities and regional price ranges.
Dec. 13's "Lunch and Learn" includes a complimentary lunch and parts one and two on California Proposition 65 Compliance with an in-depth look into compliance testing.
