WAALWIJK, Netherlands—Off-the-road tire specialist Magna Tyre Group has doubled production capacity at its plant in Hardenberg, Netherlands.
After expanding production of the 26.5R25 and 29.5R25 lines recently, Magna said production will increase to 7,000 tires per year for the 17.5R25, 20.5R25 and 23.5R25 size ranges.
The company said the expansion is in line with its 2018-23 business plan to continue the increase of production aimed at improving product availability for customers worldwide.
Magna recently initiated production of its MA01+ loader/grader tires in Thailand, which the Waalwijk-based company said allows it to avoid the antidumping duties on products from China.
Magna, which only recently started producing tires at its own factory in the Netherlands, did not identify its off-take manufacturing partner in Thailand. It said sourcing in Thailand will allow it to increase its presence in the growing U.S. OTR tire market.
Magna is represented in North America by Magna Tyres Canada Ltd. in Aurora, Ontario.
