LAS VEGAS—It will be a new show at a new convention center next summer when the rebranded Latin American & Caribbean Tyre Expo and the Latin Auto Parts Expo are held at the Amador Convention Center in Panama City.
The event combines two shows—the Latin American & Caribbean Tyre Expo, which will be in its 10th year, and the Latin Auto Parts Expo, in its sixth year—for three days, July 24-26, at the Amador Convention Center. The shows were held several weeks apart in previous years.
The facility, a $193-million investment will span 635,000 square feet once it is finished early next year. It can hold 25,000 visitors, and sits on a tract of land that overlooks the Panama Canal and the Panama City skyline.
According to Linda Bassitt, president of the Latin Expo Group L.L.C., one half of the facility will be devoted to tires and the other half auto parts. Bassitt is promoting the show during this week's SEMA show.
Organizers say the combined shows will have more than 600 exhibitors and more than 5,000 visitors.
