MUNICH—Wacker Chemie A.G. will raise prices for silicone rubber in its Europe, Middle East and South America regions by up to 40 percent, if permitted by customer contracts.
The increase, which will go into effect as of Nov. 1, comes after rising production expenses from energy and labor costs, according to a Wacker news release.
The adjustment will allow Wacker to maintain customer service and technical support along with product quality, Wacker said.
Wacker's silicone business provides products including silicone fluids, emulsions, resins, elastomers and sealants and can be used in applications such as automotive, construction and medical technology.
