WORCESTER, Mass.—Vystar Corp. has introduced the Vytex Cloud mattress topper, which it said is the world's first ultra-soft, 55-density, 100-percent all-natural latex foam mattress topper.
Created in partnership with Lien A, Vystar's exclusive latex foam manufacturer, the Vytex cloud uses proprietary technology that, according to Vystar, overcomes the challenges of low-density latex foam hardening and gradating into multiple density as large latex items are manufactured.
"Previously, consumers could only enjoy the decadent softness of ultra-soft latex in smaller items such as pillows and small cushions or manufactured with synthetic material," Vytex said in a Sept. 18 press release.
Vystar CEO Steve Rotman called the Vytex Cloud "a gamechanger for the bedding industry."
According to Vytex, the Vytex Cloud retains its resilience for decades, as compared with three to six years for other foam toppers.
The Vytex Cloud is virtually allergy-free, thanks to Vystar's patented Vytex technology, the company said. Its deproteinization results in a 90 percent stronger bond for greater durability, and it naturally repels bedbugs and dust mites.
Vytex is sustainably produced, 100 percent biodegradable, eco-friendly and free of traditional latex odor, according to Vystar.
Vytex Cloud toppers are now available on Amazon.com in 1-, 1.5, 2 and 3-inch thicknesses in California King, King, Queen, Full, Twin XL and Twin sizes, the company said.
Vystar natural rubber latex can be used in more than 40,000 products, according to Vystar.
In 2017, Vystar moved its headquarters to Worcester from Atlanta. It acquired NHS Holdings L.L.C., its exclusive U.S. distributor, in April 2018, and air filtration company UV Flu Technologies Inc. the following month.
