ISTANBUL—Kordsa A.S. recently earned two international awards, receiving recognition in Brazil for its internship program and overall excellence.
The Great Places to Work Institute ranked Kordsa the 18th best in Brazil, one of just 150 firms to receive the recognition this year. This marks the third straight time that Kordsa as been ranked on the list. It held the No. 25 and No. 31 spots in 2016 and 2017, respectively. This is the 22nd year for the Brazil listing.
In order to compile the list, Great Places to Work partners with companies to conduct employee surveys, giving workers the opportunity to evaluate the culture of the business. After analyzing results, those firms that receive strong postive feedback from at least 70 percent of employees are certified as Great Places to Work and are considered for ranking a number of lists.
In addition to the GPTW listing, Kordsa also said it received "Best in Internship Practices" award in Bahia Brazil. The company did not specify if the award was given through GPTW or another entity.
Kordsa said that together the awards represent the value that the company places on its people and the practices that empower employees and support the business model.
"Creating a work environment that inspires and develops people, (and) Kordsa's secret to success is its people, its leadership style and simply Kordsa's way of being," the company said in a news release.
