MALVERN, Pa.—PQ Corp., a manufacturer of specialty inorganic performance materials, specialty catalysts and specialty glass materials, will work with Fitz Chem L.L.C. to expand distribution of its Gasil and Silcron silica gels.

The expansion, effective Sept. 1, will reach southern Indiana and Kentucky, according to a PQ news release.

Fitz Chem will represent the Gasil and Silcron product lines across 18 states: Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan (upper peninsula), Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas and Wisconsin. Fitz Chem has represented the two lines for more than 20 years.

The Gasil and Silcron lines are highly porous materials with tight particle size control, suited to surface coating applications including paints, lacquers, plastics and paper products, according to PQ.

Fitz Chem serves the adhesives, construction, graphic arts, home and personal care, institutional and industrial cleaning, paint and coatings, plastics and rubber industries.
