MONTEREY, Calif.—Pirelli & C. S.p.A. was a sponsor of "The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering," one of the key events of the Monterey Car Week, which ran from Aug. 18-26.
The event was part of the Californian car week, which brings in more than 5,000 visitors and 250 cars, starting at the Quail Lodge & Golf Club in Carmel, Calif., according to a news release.
Pirelli showed off its Collezione tires on some of the classic cars at the Quail, including Lamborghini Espada, Lamborghini Islero and Porsche 356 models. The Collezione line was developed especially for classic cars, combining a vintage look with modern technology such as compounds that enhance grip and water evacuation.
Pirelli tires also were fitted on Pagani and McLaren models at the event. This marked Pirelli's 10th year of technical partnership with Pagani.
Pirelli's P Zero range was also displayed on several car models. The company sponsored one of pavilion at the event, dedicated to Italian food.
