SOUTH BEND, Ind.—River Bend Hose Specialty Inc. completed an acquisition of Scotty's Hydraulic Services, expanding its capabilities and its footprint.
River Bend, headquartered in South Bend, will keep on all Scotty's employees, and retain the brand name and operations, according to a company release. The cost of the acquisition, finalized July 27, was not disclosed.
Scotty's operations will remain located in Plymouth, Ind.
The three owners of Scotty's, Bruce Hollett, Fred Hollett and Susie Shez, will remain with the company through 2018 to assist with the transition.
River Bend, a distributor and manufacturer focused on industrial and hydraulic assemblies, fluid power and power transmission components and parts, will expand its walk-in business capabilities with the acquisition, said Jay Adams, River Bend chief operating officer.
Scotty's, which works in the industrial, construction, agricultural and automotive markets, will develop River Bend's cylinder repair capabilities and add on-site hydraulic services to the River Bend customer base, he said in the release.
The company fills a strong need for on-site hydraulic services in northern Indiana, said Adams.
