BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Tim Breen, Motion Industries Inc. president and CEO, has died.
Breen, who died suddenly, was a great leader and an amazing human being, Motion Industries leadership said in a news release.
"Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Tim have lost a dear friend and an inspiration," it said.
Breen began working with Berry Bearing Co. in 1982 as a sales representative. He served as branch manager, regional manager and corporate accounts manager. Motion and Berry joined in 1993. He worked as both a division officer and group officer, and in 2011 he assumed responsibility of all U.S. locations as executive vice president and chief operating officer. He became president and chief operating officer in 2013, and president and CEO in 2014.
During his time as president, Motion reached its $5 billion sales goal at the end of 2017.
Motion said it will share updates as they are available.
