WEST CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa.—The ASTM International committee on carbon black D24 will sponsor the Workshop on Carbon Black Standards Used in China, Oct. 31, at the Wyndham Grand Plaza Royale Hangzhou, China.
The workshop will focus on 14 standards that have been adopted as national standards, used prominently in China's carbon black industry.
The morning will cover carbon black structure, surface area and related properties, and non-carbon components of carbon black. The afternoon program will explain carbon black pellet properties, sampling and statistical analysis, and testing in rubber. The workshop will finish with a summary discussion and a focus on how the committee can assist the industry through standards development.
