CHANDLER, Ariz.—Rogers Corp. has introduced a new sealing cellular silicone solution for gasketing and sealing applications that require light weight, flame resistance and low compression force.
Labelled Bisco HT-350, the product is said to be particularly suitable for a wide variety of enclosures, according to a July 31 company statement. The "medium firmness," Rogers said, offers "a super seal cellular silicone material that uses new technology to pair the light-weight properties of a foam with superior sealing capabilities."
With 5 percent compression, the material ideal for use in industrial, automotive, or mass transit enclosures that are exposed to a wide range of environmental extremes.
"This improved sealing capability means customers can design in with a lower thickness material which will reduce the overall cost of ownership," stated Dan Kubick, Rogers' product manager for Bisco silicones.
