COLUMBUS, Ohio—The Association for Rubber Products Manufacturers honored its 2018 Safety Award Winners during the 2018 Environmental Health and Safety Summit in Columbus July 19.
The recipients included four gold safety awards and two silver safety awards, according to an ARPM release.
The gold safety award winners are Akron Rubber Development Laboratory Inc.; Blair Rubber Co.; Hamilton Kent L.L.C. of Winchester, Tenn.; and Zochem of Dickson, Tenn. The silver safety award winners are Zochem of Brampton, Ontario, and Stockwell Elastomerics Inc.
The lowest rate of incident from 1-100 employees was Eagle Elastomer Inc., and the lowest rate of incident for 101-350 employees was LMI Custom Mixing L.L.C.
The awards recognize safety in the industry and rewards facilities that have achieved a level of safety performance above the industry average, based on data reported on a company's OSHA 300 Log of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses.
The Environmental Health and Safety Summit is an annual event hosted by the ARPM to share best leadership and safety practices with industry professionals.
