NEW CASTLE, Del.—TA Instruments, a subsidiary of Waters Corp., named Rossana Pasquino, associate professor at the University of Naples Fredrico II, as the recipient of the Distinguished Young Rheologist award.
The award recognizes young faculty members in the field of rheology, and is designed to accelerate their research through equipment grants, according to a TA Instruments release.
Pasquino is recognized for her work in the rheology of complex fluids, using it as a tool to detect morphology and microscopic properties. Her work has a focus on the rheological properties of viscoelastic solutions, colloids and polymers.
Recipients of the award are nominated by a group of academic researchers in the field.
