WREXHAM, Wales—Pan Stone Europe, a family-run distributor of rubber molding machinery based in Wrexham, is seeking to double sales within three years.
The North Wales company distributes injection and compression molding machines for manufacturing rubber and silicone parts for sectors such as oil and gas, aerospace, automotive and pharmaceuticals.
More than 70 percent of its turnover is through export sales in Ireland and Europe, according the company, which is a sales agent for Pan Stone Hydraulic Industries, a global supplier of compression/injection molding machines.
In a statement, Pan Stone Europe said it expects sales of more than $4 million this year, compared to the roughly $3 million in sales last year. The firm aims to hit the $8 million revenue mark by 2021.
Pan Stone Europe has nine employees, but said it anticipates adding more team members throughout the coming months. It is being helped with its expansion plans by support by Business Wales' Accelerated Growth Program, according to a press release.
Pan Stone was set up six years ago by managing director Stephen Murphy. His son, Joshua, is one of the firm's service technicians, and daughter, Hannah, is a business administrator.
Phill Harry, who has more than 30 years' experience in the electronics and electrical industry, has joined as operations director to help drive the growth plan.
Pan Stone is constantly innovating to meet customer demands and has done a lot of work around automation and robotics, according to Stephen Murphy.
"We have customers in many countries across Europe and regularly take prospective clients to see our machines on site at customers' plants and at our showrooms in Wrexham and Slovakia, as well as reference sites at customers in the U.K. and Europe," he said. "We are investing in our business both in terms of talented people and putting in place the best possible systems and processes."
