CRANSTON, R.I.—Mearthane Products Corp., a developer and manufacturer of customized polyurethane products, finished its acquisition of Rhode Island Water Jet L.L.C.
The details of the acquisition were not disclosed, according to an MPC release. Rhode Island Water Jet, a provider of precision computer numerical control components based in Newport, R.I., represents MPC's second acquisition in the past year. The company acquired Elmco Tool Inc. last September.
RIWJ's operations will be relocated to Bristol, R.I., where it will be combined with Elmco Tool, a division of MPC. Thomas Lemaire, founder and owner of Rhode Island Water Jet, will become general manager of the combined operations in Bristol.
Rhode Island Water Jet's expertise as a supplier of close-tolerance components will expand MPC's capabilities, Pete Kaczmarek, president and CEO of MPC, said in a statement.
