KNOXVILLE, Tenn.—All-State Belting L.L.C. has completed its acquisition of Knoxville-based Rubber Plus Inc., which will operate as a branch office of ASB.
RPI President Cholly Snow, who has been at the helm of the business since 1976, will stay on to assist with the transition, and all other RPI employees will be retained, according to a release issued by ASB.
Other details of the acquisition were not disclosed, but ASB did note that it plans to add field installation services to the capabilities of the RPI location.
The acquisition of RPI is part of a strategic initiative toward wider geographic coverage, started when ASB was acquired by Marubeni Corp. in 2012. The Knoxville location adds to the company's southeastern region, which includes Rock Hill, S.C., and Rocky Mount, N.C. ASB's other locations include Des Moines, Iowa; Lewisville, Texas; Houston; and Columbus, Ohio.
The company said the initiative will continue with the addition of more full service locations in the future.
