AKRON—The International Tire Exhibition & Conference, North America's largest conference and expo dedicated to tire manufacturing, has added two speakers to the technical program.
Jerry Gu, CEO of Mesnac Americas, will discuss his company's experience as an early adapter of smart factory strategies in a talk titled: "Smart Factory: A Solution for Tire Manufacturers."
Lawrence Gooch, principal and owner of Gooch Engineering Associates, will cover the functional elements of the calender and discuss how to enhance the functionality of older installed equipment in his presentation titled: "The Calendar Line in the Tire Plant."
ITEC will take place Sept. 11-13 at Akron's John S. Knight Center. Between 1,500 and 2,000 tire manufacturing personnel and others are expected to attend the three-day event, which includes lunch each day for all participants.
In addition to the trade show, which is expected to feature more than 100 exhibitors involved in every aspect of tire manufacturing, attendees can sign up for the technical conference, which will offer more than 70 paper presentations.
Richard Kramer, Goodyear chairman, CEO and president, will deliver the keynote address titled: "Miles Ahead—Tires & the New Mobility Ecosystem."
