ULVILA, Finland—Cimcorp plans to expand its production and office facilities at its headquarters in Ulvila with a project that is expected to nearly double the footprint of the roughly 102,000-sq.-ft. site. The move, Cimcorp said, will accommodate business growth, while expanding research and development.
Construction is set to begin soon and should be completed by summer 2019.
The current facilities have about 62,400 square feet dedicated to manufacturing and about 40,000 square feet of office space. The project will expand the site by about 85,000 square feet, adding 61,300 square feet for production and 23,600 square feet for offices.
With more manufacturing space, Cimcorp said it "can meet growing customer requirements and volume increases with greater production capacity and the ability to manage larger-sized projects."
Cimcorp Oy CEO Masatoshi Wakabayashi said the decision to expand the Ulvila facilities reflects a sustained increase in orders and continued investment in product development.
"This new, larger facility," Wakabayashi said, "will help us strengthen our position as a leading supplier of automated solutions for the tire and distribution industries."
