AKRON—The International Tire Exhibition & Conference has added two speakers to its technical program on the topics of tire manufacturing automation and digitization.
The new presentations are among more than 70 technical papers planned for North America's largest tire technical conference and trade show, scheduled for Sept. 11-13 at the John S. Knight Center in Akron, Ohio.
Joining the program are Don Heelis, sales manager for Cimcorp Automation, and Dan Paul, global business leader for the tire industry at Rockwell International.
Heelis' will discuss the "Latest Trends in Automation: How to Improve Productivity in Tire Manufacturing," including how "islands of automation" can be integrated in tire production to create a seamless manufacturing process from start to finish.
Paul's presentation, titled "Can Digitization Help You Achieve Your Goals," will cover how to use technology to identify opportunities to improve metrics.
