PROVIDENCE, R.I.—Mahr Inc. and NanoFocus A.G. have signed a cooperation agreement in which Mahr will offer confocal microscopes from NanoFocus as the new Mahr product family MarSurf CM beginning in May.
The new devices will be presented at Control 2018 in Stuttgart, Germany, from April 24-27, according to a Mahr release.
Mahr, a provider of dimensional measurement solutions, said the agreement expands the company's product portfolio of tactile and optical measuring stations with high-resolution, confocal 3D surface measuring systems. The confocal 3D surface measurement systems of the MarSurf CM are used in medical technology, automotive, materials management and manufacturers for electrical engineering.
The optical measuring systems work independently of the material and without contact for sensitive surfaces, according to the release.
NanoFocus, a German manufacturer of 3D surface metrology, was founded in 1994. Mahr is a member of the Mahr Group.
