WAKEFIELD, Mass.—Rising raw materials costs are driving the latest price increases by Alliance Tire Americas Inc., set to take effect May 1.
ATA, the North American sales and marketing arm of the Alliance Tire Group, a subsidiary of Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd., said prices will rise by 6 percent.
This increase comes little more than one year after the company raised OTR and commercial tire prices by 8 percent in the U.S. and Canada, citing raw materials costs as the reason for doing so. The new price increases also take effect one month after Yokohama Tire Corp. raised prices on its OTR tire lines by up to 6 percent.
Alliance goes to market under three brand names: Alliance, Galaxy and Primex.
