PARIS—French chemicals distributor Safic-Alcan has formed Moscow-based subsidiary, Safic-Alcan Rus, to supply the country's industrial rubber and plastics manufacturing sector. The new subsidiary will manage warehousing locally.
"This initiative will enable us to… be present in high-potential markets while enhancing our distribution network in Eastern Europe," said Philippe Combette, CEO of Safic-Alcan.
Mikhail Shekhirev is the first employee of the company and will act as the sales manager. He brings "a long experience in sales with major rubber and plastics players," according to the company.
