PARSIPPANY, N.J.—Sun Chemical Corp. is increasing prices by 30 percent on its silicone-based product line effective May 1.
The price increase is a result of continued shortages and ongoing cost pressure in silicone and silicone-based materials, according to a Sun Chemical release.
Though Sun Chemicals has utilized its resources to offset shortages and increasing prices, the company needs to pass some of the increases on, said Dennis Sweet, vice president-commercial, Rycoline and distributors, North American inks, Sun Chemical.
Sun Chemical, a subsidiary of Sun Chemical Group Cooperatief U.A., Netherlands and headquartered in Parsippany, N.J., is a producer of products such as printing inks, pigments and polymers.
