AKRON—The deadlines to save on early registration fees and hotel accommodations for the ACS Rubber Division's 193rd Technical Meeting in Indianapolis are quickly approaching.
Registration fees are set to increase April 1, while the chance to receive discounted hotel accommodations ends April 18, and the limited number of discounted hotel rooms are filling quickly, according to the Rubber Division.
Hosted May 8-10 at the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis, the technical meeting includes the awarding of the 2018 Charles Goodyear Medal to Case Western Reserve University professor Eric Baer, along with the recognition of other Science and Technology Award winners being honored for their achievements and contributions to the industry.
Ron Kennedy, managing director of the Center for Tire Research (CenTiRe) will give the keynote presentation, focusing on ways in which materials developers can make the most of tire and tire-vehicle simulations.
Additional presentations planned for the meeting will cover topics including:
- new trends in carbon materials;
- rubber mechanics fatigue and testing;
- advancements in the synthesis of elastomers, liquid rubbers and related materials; and
- engineering with rubber.
Networking opportunities will be offered throughout the event, and technical meeting attendees will have the chance to visit with table top exhibitors on May 8. The exhibits will be available during lunch, networking breaks and the Welcome Reception on May 8.
Exhibit space is available at a cost of $500 for a six-foot table, chair and a complimentary ticket for one representative to attend the exhibit. For details or to reserve your exhibit space, email [email protected].
