WASHINGTON—The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries has released its 2018 Advocacy Agenda in advance of its 2018 Convention and Exposition.
The 2018 Agenda highlights the recycling industry's priorities at the local, state, federal and international levels related to the following issues:
- Taxes and the economy;
- International trade;
- Energy and the environment;
- Transportation and infrastructure development;
- Workplace safety initiatives; and
- Regulatory policy.
"The advocacy agenda serves as one of the many ways in which ISRI promotes safe, economically sustainable and environmentally responsible recycling," ISRI said in a March 26 press release.
The ISRI 2018 Convention and Exposition will be held April 14-19 at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas. More information, including a preliminary schedule and registration information, is available at isri2018.org.
