MAGOG, Quebec—Off-the-road tire specialist Camso has introduced three new industrial pneumatic tires—AIR 550, AIR 570 and AIR 561—for forklifts and ground support equipment.
The new tires, aimed primarily at markets in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa, strengthen Camso's pneumatic tire lineup to offer customers the best performance at the lowest operating cost, the company said in a statement. These tires are intended to replace the Solideal ED Plus, Solideal RIB LUG and Solideal ZZ RIB tires, offering greater durability and performance without compromising price.
The Solideal AIR 550 provides superior durability and lower operating costs in general forklift operations, Camso said. Its thick sidewall and heavy-duty carcass offer greater puncture resistance and protection against flat tires.
The AIR 550 will offer 80 percent longer life than its predecessor, the Solideal ED Plus, according to Camso.
The Solideal AIR 570 uses low rolling resistance compounds to optimize the energy efficiency of electric forklifts. Camso said that its flat tread profile enhances stability, while its smooth continuous center lug reduces vibration and enhances steerability.
The AIR 570, Camso claims, offers 30 percent longer tread-life than the Solideal RIB LUG, which it replaces.
The Solideal AIR 561 lowers the operating costs of ground support equipment such as baggage and aircraft tow tractors. It is said to offer 12 percent better stability, 10 percent better energy efficiency and double the tread life of the Solideal ZZ RIB, which it replaces, according to a company statement.
The new tires range in size from 8 to 20 inches, with more than 40 combinations of sizes and ply ratings for the AIR 550, Camso said.
