MUTTENZ, Switzerland—Clariant International Ltd. will increase prices globally for its entire range of masterbatch and compound products containing titanium dioxide, polymers, carbon black, pigments, dyes and several additives by 4-7 percent.
The increases will depend on the grade, concentration and quality of the titanium dioxide, polymer, carbon black, pigments, dyes and additives, according to a Clariant release.
The increase includes white, black, color, additive masterbatches and compounds, as well as the following brands: Remafin, Renol, Cesa, HiFormer and Mevopur. It will be effective for all deliveries beginning April 1, or as soon as contracts allow.
Clariant said the price increase is a result of the continued rise in prices of titanium dioxide, polymers, carbon black, pigments, dyes and additives drive by several factors, including supply-demand dynamics, ongoing capacity reductions in the pigment and dye industry and related increases in feedstock costs of several materials.
