LONGVIEW, Texas—Richard Palmer, a 30-year employee with Stemco, died at the age of 59, the company said in a March 8 news release.
Palmer joined Stemco, an EnPro Industries company, in 1987 as district sales manager, a post he held for 10 years. He then served as western regional manager for 13 years and southeast regional manager for eight years before being promoted this past December to segment business leader for wheel end products.
The firm said Stemco employees will remember Palmer as being well-respected, trusted and willing to teach and help others.
"We are heartbroken at the news of Richard's passing," said Stemco President Todd Anderson. "He's been an extremely valuable part of our team for decades, but we know his legacy is far greater than that. We will miss him tremendously."
Palmer is survived by his wife Becky, and their daughter Alaina.
Additional updates, including nformation regarding the pending memorial service, will be available through Stemco's Facebook page.
