DICKSON, Tenn.—The Association for Rubber Products Manufacturers will host a plant tour at Zochem's Dickson facility on March 29.
Attendees will able to tour Zochem's newest zinc oxide production facility, according to a ARPM release.
Zinc Oxide L.L.C. recently acquired the Canadian company, Zochem, American Zinc Recycling Corp., and together will be collectively known as Zochem. The company says it is now the largest producer of zinc oxide in North America headquartered in Dickson.
Cutting-edge improvements in key steps in the production process have improved the end product, including a new pneumatic conveyor, new control systems and a self-designed/high-efficiency product filter collector, Zochem said.
The company's culture is also safety-minded, with a total of 1,644 days without a medical aid accident, Zochem said.
