CRYSTAL, Minn.—The deadline for Twin Cities Rubber Group Scholarship submissions is March 5. The program includes a $500 scholarship each for high school seniors, undergraduate college students and members continuing education.
The completed application, required documentation, essay and nomination letter must be received by that date, according to a Twin Cities Rubber Group Inc. release.
Documentation includes, if applicable, an ACT or SAT score, a transcript, major declaration and proof of registration. Candidates must be nominated by a TCRG member in good standing, with membership defined as having attended at least one technical session in the last year.
Applications will be reviewed by the Scholarship Review Board consisting of the TCRG education committee chair, president, past president and two volunteer members. Selection is based on the criteria, and in the event of a tie, the winner will be decided by a simple majority vote of the committee.
The scholarships are not required to be awarded every year.
The objective of the program is to encourage and promote higher education in science, technical, engineering and mathematics fields for TCRG members and their families by assisting with the escalating cost of a college and continuing education, said TCRG.
Completed applications can be sent to [email protected] or [email protected].
