AKRON—Three new presentations have been added to the 2018 International Silicone Conference lineup, expanding the event's offerings to include insights into HCR compounding, new processes for cleaning molds and regulatory updates.
Erick Sharp, who launched Ace Products & Consulting L.L.C. in 2015, will present "Reclaim Silicone for HCR Compounds," as one of the newest speakers added to the presentation agenda.
Also added to the agenda were Alexandra Rinehart, who will present a regulatory update, and Steve Wilson, Cold Jet L.L.C.'s director of global business development, plastics, rubber and composites. Wilson's presentation will examine the advantages of using dry ice in mold cleaning.
Other presentations on the agenda for the upcoming conference cover innovations in working with liquid silicone rubber, including in 3D printing; high-end mold making; and an updated industry forecast.
The International Silicone Conference, presented by Rubber & Plastics News, Shin-Etsu and Wacker, will be held April 10-11 at the Sheraton Suites in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Those attending the conference will have access to all paper presentations and will have opportunities for networking.
