OFFENBACH, Germany—Kumho Tire Co. Inc. has hired Changrin Suk, formerly the CEO of Nexen Tire America Inc., to be president of its European business.
Suk, 59, succeeds Charles Kim, who had held the position since March 2015. Kumho did not say if Kim is still with the company.
"My mission is to make Kumho successful in Europe," Suk said, noting that the primary goal will be to operate a stable and profitable business both for Kumho and its customers.
"Customer satisfaction," he said, would be his highest priority and he looks forward to working closely with the company's customers to achieve that.
Suk worked for 20 years in senior roles at Samsung Electronics before becoming CEO of Nexen Tire America in 2008. He held that position until August 2013, when he resigned for personal reasons.
Kumho did not say what he's been doing since stepping down at Nexen.
